HHC cartridges

HHC cartridges

In addition to the popular medical cannabinoid CBD (cannabidiol), more and more users are interested in the less well-known cannabinoid HHC (hexahydrocannabinol). This substance, which has not yet been clearly defined as a medical cannabinoid, has not yet found that many fans in Germany. However, it is already traded legally in many online shops for CBD products. The same applies to their synthetic derivative HHC-P. Both cannabinoids are available as liquid - and vaporizer inhalable - cannabinoid liquids in vaporizer cartridges .

However, whether HHC and even more so its descendant HHC-P will remain legal cannot yet be foreseen. The reason for the doubts: HHC is much closer in chemical structure to the psychoactive THC in marijuana. It also has an intoxicating effect - and what is even more important for consumers: The consumption of HHC and HHC-P can be detected both in the urine and in the blood or by a hair analysis. Due to the chemical proximity to THC, the detection of HHC metabolites would be equivalent to a violation of the Narcotics Act.

In addition: For inexperienced cannabis consumers and CBD users, the HHC Vape Pen cartridges are far too strong in effect. When vaping, the ingredients take effect much faster and without any significant loss of active ingredients. The entire active ingredient content is immediately processed by the body's endocannabinoid system after inhalation. Losses of active ingredient in a cannabinoid only occur if you use HHC oil or other dosage forms for HHC. The loss of active ingredient can be explained by the route via the digestive tract. There, a significant portion of the cannabinoids are eliminated. Up to 60 percent of the effect is lost in this way.

The wasteful path via the digestive tract is avoided if the HHC is inhaled using a vape pen and cartridges filled with HHC. Here the effect of the cartridge contents can be felt almost without the usual time lag. The side effects of HHC also occur much faster. The unclear legal status may explain the reluctance of many CBD users. The detectability of HHC in the body can unsettle inexperienced prospects. An intoxicating effect is not important to every consumer interested in cannabinoids. Many people are only interested in the relaxing, pain-relieving, and anti-inflammatory effects of cannabinoids like CBD.

Anyone who relies on a reputable online retailer also makes sure that the residual THC content of the flavored cartridges is below the legally permitted 0.2 percent with the HHC. The cannabinoid hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) can be synthesized from the cannabinoids THC and CBD through a complex conversion process. Certain chemical bonds are broken in the process. The complex production process for HHC is called isomerization. At the end of this process is a chemically highly pure and semi-synthetic HHC distillate. This is much closer to THC than CBD in its effect.

Since the legal status of HHC is currently unclear and can change at any time, experienced prospects should stock up on HHC cartridges if necessary. In this case, however, the expiry date must be observed.

What is the difference between HHC and HHC-P cartridges?

In the case of cartridges for evaporators or vaporizers, a distinction must be made between cartridges filled with pure HHC and cartridges with an HHC-P filling. HHC-P is a hydrogenated variant of THC-P. This synthetic cannabinoid is said to be 33 times more psychoactive than the THC in marijuana. At least that's what people who've tried it say. In addition, this synthetic substance can obviously lead to serious side effects. Nothing can yet be said about the possible long-term risks of this cannabinoid due to the lack of corresponding studies.

In any case, such chemically modified substances are increasingly moving away from the natural cannabinoids contained in the hemp plants. HHC-P and other cannabinoids that have been chemically modified are therefore referred to as cannabinoid mimetics or synthetic cannabinoids. Synthetic cannabinoids are significantly more potent because of their chemical purity. Because of the dosage problems, however, their effects can hardly be estimated. An exact dosage of HHC or HHC-P via a vaporizer liquid is difficult. With a vaporizer, for example, it depends on the depth and length of the draws. In addition, each metabolism reacts individually to the intake of cannabinoids.

Because of the unpredictably strong effect of the cannabinoids contained therein, the so-called "legal highs", "incense mixtures" or "herbal mixtures" are also dangerous. So it is safer for the consumer to stick with the HHC vape cartridges from reputable online shops or the well-researched cannabinoid CBD. This cannabis product can also be inhaled via a vaporizer. Special vaporizers similar to electronic cigarettes have been invented for inhaling CBD or HHC. These devices are operated via a heating coil and a replaceable cartridge with an evaporable liquid.

Please note: The HHC vape pen cartridge must be compatible with the existing vape pen. If you are skeptical and only want to test such substances first, you can use disposable vaporizers in pen form. These devices are called vape pens. These one-way vaporizers usually contain between 250 and 300 puffs - so-called puffs. After the cartridges have been emptied, they are disposed of. Such one-way devices therefore do not contain any replaceable cartridges. Therefore, they are viewed critically with regard to the topic of waste avoidance. Vape pens with a permanently installed cartridge are very inexpensive.

For regular consumption of CBD or HHC Liquid, it is better to use a vape pen and replaceable cartridges. The cartridge with flavored HHC liquid that goes with the vaporizer is simply screwed onto the device. With newer devices, the two are connected via a guide tube and a magnet. In addition to the cartridges filled with HHC, there are also increasingly HHC-P cartridges. Due to its chemical potency, the effects of HHC-P are associated with strong side effects. Our advice is that inexperienced consumers should stay away from cartridges with HHC-P. Almost nothing is known about the health risks of HHC-P consumption.

Which HHC cartridges should I buy?

Beginners in the field of HHC often do not know which criteria to apply when buying HHC cartridges. In fact, not only the aroma of an HHC liquid is an important differentiating factor. The compatibility of the cartridge with the vaporizer is also elementary. But there are two other criteria to think about: the residual THC content and the HHC content in the HHC vape cartridges. Both are not identical for all providers.

The effect of an HHC vape pen cartridge depends on the hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) content. There are cartridges on the market with an HHC concentration that can be between about 70 percent and a degree of purity of 94 percent. Reputable dealers make sure that the residual THC content is less than 0.2 percent according to the legal requirements. Ideally, it is even zero. But even without a significant residual THC content, the potent cannabinoids in HHC Vape cartridges can cause side effects that are just as strong as their strong effect.

The utilization of inhaled cannabinoids is carried out in the body by the body's endocannabinoid system. In the human organism there are naturally numerous receptors to which the cannabinoids can dock. The body's own cannabinoids serve in small amounts as a regulatory aid for various processes. What is not needed is excreted in the urine. If larger amounts of HHC from a vaporizer flood into the organism, it reacts significantly differently than when inhaling CBD. The content of an HHC Vape Pen cartridge is much more psychoactive.

In contrast, no intoxicating effect is noticeable when consuming CBD, despite the residual THC content. CBD is legal because of its medicinal uses and low THC content. The medical effect of HHC lies in its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. This cannabinoid also has a calming, stress-reducing and anxiolytic effect. So far there is a similarity to the CBD. However, the side effects of HHC are more similar to those of THC than those of CBD. Panic attacks, confusion, tiredness, dry mouth, headache, dizziness and red eyes can occur after HHC use.

Long-term use of HHC increases the risk of suffering from psychosis. It is currently unclear whether HHC has a certain potential for addiction and dependency over a long period of use.

Are there different cartridge types?

First of all, disposable vaporizers with fixed cartridges have to be distinguished from screw-on and exchangeable cartridges with HHC. The new HHC vape cartridges from a certain manufacturer are connected to the inhaler by means of a cartridge guide and a magnet. The advantage of loose cartridges is that they can be replaced. When you buy a vaporizer, you decide on a specific system. Now, with the compatible cartridges, you can inhale both CBD and HHC with different flavors.

Disposable cartridges are permanently installed in the device. They are disposed of after emptying together with the vaporizer. Such vaporizer cartridge systems can contain between 250-300 puffs of HHC. However, if a consumer does not like the content, he cannot replace the cartridge. The disposal of such one-way vaporizers also creates problems in classification. Emptied disposable devices may be hazardous waste. But they end up either in the plastic waste bin or in the residual waste. Nevertheless, disposable vaporizers are useful for testing such inhalable liquids.

Investing in a vaporizer with a replaceable cartridge is significantly more expensive - especially for high-quality vaporizers. However, some e-cigarettes are also suitable for HHC vape cartridges. When you decide on a specific vaporizer, you also decide on the selection of compatible HHC cartridges. While there are already countless cartridges with various flavors for the CBD, the HHC does not yet have such an extensive range.

Therefore, as a new prospect, you should first take a look at which flavors are offered in the cartridges of an HHC provider before you buy a vaporizer. If you already have a vaporizer or an e-cigarette, you only have to check whether they are compatible with HHC vape pen cartridges from one or even several suppliers. The thread type is decisive for the compatibility. It is best to always buy your HHC cartridges from the same supplier. This minimizes the risk of incompatible cartridges.

Are there any risks when vaping HHC?
The scientific community is not yet clear about the exact risks of vaporizers. There is a lack of long-term studies on the various ingredients in cartridges.

Basically, the purer an HHC liquid is, the fewer harmful accompanying substances can be found in an HHC cartridge. With a lower HHC content, only natural hemp terpenes and flavorings are included in addition to the HHC. High-quality HHC products should contain neither propylene glycol (PG) nor vegetable glycerin (VG). But that also means a particularly high level of purity. Accordingly, a strong effect of the HHC distillate can also be expected.

The fact is that HHC is chemically closer to THC. It must therefore also be considered psychoactive. The exact absorption of HHC during vaporization is hardly controllable because of the individual inhalation depth. Therefore, inexperienced users should expect more or less severe side effects after consuming HHC. The long-term risks of HHC consumption are currently incalculable. In general, vaporization is an effective absorption method for hemp components such as CBD or HHC. In addition, the HHC cartridges are completely nicotine-free. An HHC cartridge also contains neither vegetable glycerin nor propylene glycol.

Nevertheless, one should assume that the risk of later respiratory diseases or lung cancer can be increased with long-term use - especially in smokers and long-term cannabis users. However, the dependence potential of HHC is unknown. In principle, HHC users should assume that the health risks are similar to those of cannabis use. The fact that HHC has been controversial so far does not help build confidence. Those who are inexperienced with cannabis use should stick to vaping CBD to be on the safe side. No negative long-term effects are to be expected here.

Can HHC consumption be detected in a drug test?

Since HHC is chemically closer to the psychoactive cannabinoid THC than CBD, it is a legitimate question whether a positive drug test could result after consumption. This is demonstrably not the case with CBD.

However, possession and consumption of CBD can lead to imprisonment or even the death penalty in some countries. The reason for this is probably the low residual THC content. This is legal in this country, but not elsewhere. In this respect, you have to be careful with a drug test even with CBD. In some states, the use of cannabinoids is generally prohibited. The fact is that the detectability of HHC in the blood or urine depends on several factors. This includes the frequency with which HHC is consumed and the amount or number of puffs taken from the vaporizer cartridge.

The individual metabolism also plays an important role. Some people absorb HHC faster than others. Accordingly, the effect of HHC is different with exactly the same amount of puffs. In addition to the individual metabolism, the inhalation depth also varies from person to person. Ultimately, the way HHC is manufactured is also a factor that can be important for detectability. For example, anyone who imports a vaporizer and HHC cartridges to Thailand must expect a long prison sentence. The medical use of cannabinoids is also banned in Thailand and other countries around the world.

In addition, HHC is metabolized in the organism in a similar way to THC, which is subject to the Narcotics Act. Since HHC and HHC-P are also psychoactive, consumers should assume that both substances are detectable in blood or urine. The only open question is whether a drug test specifically asks for these new substances. So far, to our knowledge, no special test for this can be found on the market. However, since there is evidence of THC consumption, it stands to reason that HHC can also be detected in the blood. The HHC concentration, the amount and the frequency of the inhaled HHC liquids could be decisive.

Can the consumed content of HHC Vape cartridges be detected in urine? He can. In fact, it is much more likely that the HHC will be detected in the urine than in the blood. However, due to the lack of special HHC tests, a user is assumed to be consuming THC. This automatically ends up in violation of the Narcotics Act - even though HHC can currently be purchased and consumed quite legally. The chemical similarity between THC and HHC should not be underestimated by consumers.

Ultimately, the breakdown products of both in the blood and urine determine whether or not HHC use can be detected. It doesn't matter if just enjoying a few gummy bears with HHC or a few puffs from the flavored HHC vape pen cartridge caused the detection. Up to thirty days (!) after HHC consumption, HHC may be detectable in the urine - depending on the frequency and inhaled amount of HHC. In hair analyzes the metabolites of HHC can be detected even after almost a year (!) in a regular user.

The conclusion from this is: If you don't want to take any health risks and don't want to attract attention with a positive drug test, you should keep your hands off HHC cartridges. At least you should leave the car after HHC consumption. Anyone who deals with complex machines in their professional life needs neither impaired perception nor slowed down reactions. In addition, since HHC is controversial due to its proximity to THC, it can be expected that it will soon no longer be considered legal by legislators.
