Notes on the Battery Act
In connection with the sale of batteries or accumulators or with the delivery of devices containing batteries or accumulators, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Act:
Batteries may not be disposed of with household rubbish. End-users are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return batteries after use to the seller or to the collection points provided for this purpose (e.g. in municipal collection points or in shops) free of charge. If you return the item to the seller, he will reimburse you for the postage for returning your old battery. The address for the return shipment can be found in the imprint of this website.
Batteries containing harmful substances and the fact that batteries do not have to be disposed of with household waste but must be disposed of properly are indicated by the garbage can symbol.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury
